INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2025 HELD AT SAINIK SCHOOL BALACHADI, JAMNAGAR

“A Celebration of Leadership and Responsibility” - Investiture Ceremony of Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar for the academic session 2025-26 was held gracefully on the lines of Military traditions in School’s auditorium on 22 April 2025. 

Maj Gen Gaurav Bagga, General Officer Commanding 11 RAPID (H) and Chairman, LBA, Sainik School Balachadi was the Chief Guest on this occasion. On his arrival the Chief Guest was given a warm welcome by Col Shreyash Mehta, Principal, Sainik School Balachadi and laid wreath at Shaurya Stambh - the War Memorial of the School. The School Cadets presented Guard of Honour to him. Later he was briefed about the School and its surroundings on Sand Model by Cadet Vaishnavi which was highly appreciated by the Chief Guest.

The Chief Guest conferred appointments to Cadets nominated for various School Appointments and House Captains. Cadets were nominated on the basis of holistic qualities which include punctuality, discipline, moral values, academics, Games & Sports, positive attitude, leadership qualities so on and so forth so that they can be role models to their fellow schoolmates.

An oath was administered to the new appointments for their allegiance to the rules and regulations of the School. The Cadets who were appointed will look after the various curricular and co-curricular activities in the Houses and will support the administration in the smooth functioning of the School. 

The Chief Guest in his address congratulated the new appointments and reiterated the need to inculcate leadership qualities among the Cadets. He advised Cadets to utilize the facilities and infrastructure available in School for getting their dreams come true and motivated them to be sincere, truthful, disciplined and dedicated to join Armed Forces. He advised Cadets to be focused in studies. In his speech he mentioned that a ‘Good Leader’ makes ‘Good Leaders’, with respect to this he urged Class XII Cadets to always motivate their Juniors and other Cadets. He also appreciated Officers and Staff for their dedicated selfless service towards the development of Cadets and School.

The Principal on behalf of the School presented a Memento to the Chief Guest as a token of remembrance. School Cadet Captain Cadet Shivam Gawar delivered the Vote of Thanks on this occasion. 

The Chief Guest also interacted with the Cadets and the staff and later he was taken on a windshield tour of the entire campus.

The ceremony culminated with a lunch with the Cadets and Staff in the School Cadets Mess.
