Ceremony of Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar for the academic session 2024-25
was held gracefully on the lines of Military traditions in School’s auditorium
on 30 Apr 2024.
Col Pramod R Ambasana, SM (Gallantry), an alumnus of Sainik School Balachadi was the Chief Guest on this occasion. On his arrival the Chief Guest was given a warm welcome by Col Shreyash Mehta, Principal, Sainik School Balachadi and laid wreath at Shaurya Stambh - the War Memorial of the School. Later, he was briefed about the School and its surroundings on Sand Model by Cadet Dhruvil Modi which was highly appreciated by the Chief Guest.

Guest conferred appointments to Cadets nominated for various School
Appointments, House Captains and Dorm Prefects. Cadets were nominated on the
basis of holistic qualities which include punctuality, discipline, moral
values, academics, Games & Sports, positive attitude, leadership qualities so
on and so forth so that they can be role models to their fellow schoolmates.
An oath was administered to the new appointments for their allegiance to the rules and regulations of the School. The Cadets who were appointed will look after the various curricular and co-curricular activities in the Houses and will support the administration in the smooth functioning of the School.
The Chief Guest during his address congratulated the new appointments and reiterated the need to inculcate leadership qualities among the Cadets. He shared his student’s life experience spent in Sainik School Balachadi. He advised Cadets to utilize the facilities and infrastructure available in School for getting their dreams come true. He explained the meaning of ‘Character Building’ and the scientific way of study through formula SQRRR that is Survey, Question, Read, Review, Revision. He told Cadets must eat, play and study well and should always be enthusiastic and ready to explore new things with curiosity. He also emphasized on the importance of three types of fitness which a Cadet should always focus on that is ‘Physical’, ‘Mental’ and ‘Spiritual Fitness’. He insisted Cadets to never give up and never have fear of failure. In his speech he also appreciated Officers and staff for their dedicated selfless service towards the development of Cadets and School.
The Principal on behalf of the School presented a Memento to the Chief Guest as a token of remembrance. The Chief Guest also interacted with the Cadets and the staff. OBSSA members and families were present on this occasion. The ceremony culminated with a group photograph with newly appointed appointments and staff.
