‘KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS’ OBSERVED IN SAINIK SCHOOL BALACHADI, JAMNAGAR

Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar observed ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ in School campus on 26 July 2024, on the 25th  anniversary of the victory of the Indian Armed Forces in Operation Vijay against the infiltrating Pakistani troops. 

On this occasion, Col Shreyash Mehta, Principal of the School laid wreath at Shaurya Stambh - the School War Memorial. The program started in School auditorium with the speech delivered by Cadet Dhairya Parmar followed by the videos through which the victory and history of Operation Vijay were well explained to audience. T/O Ankur Chaudhary also delivered a speech highlighting the importance of this day. To give this occasion an apt tribute, one minute silence was observed by Officers, Staff and Cadets. 

In his address, the Principal wished everyone Happy Kargil Vijay Diwas and highlighted the significance of this day through a presentation in which he shared his real life experiences during Kargil War when he was deployed in the Kaksar sector with 4 JAT REGT HQ 121 (I) INF BDE. He shared the incidents of sacrifice, courage and bravery A tree plantation drive was also conducted on this day.

The program culminated with the spirited rendering of the National Anthem.
